1. The habits of the Chinese as they relate to the spread of the epidemia. Certain infringements of the rules of hygiene which have special relationship to the spread of the disease are continually practiced by the Chinese of the Colony. The most

flagrant are in domeation with the street restaurants. The

edibles are exposed to the open air and, in disuan wüich havenet been cleansed between the servings, so tisat whint is in one's

to a lesser extent in the nouse restaurants. The other infringe-

ments consist in the use of common (roller) towels, and ouMor
